About

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Alex Lejeune, a Financial Advisor with Simard & Associates based in Windsor, Ontario.

A bit about me:

I graduated from Western University in 2025 with a specialization in Finance. Becoming an advisor has been a long-term goal of mine, largely inspired by my dad, who’s spent over 25 years in the industry mentoring other advisors. Between that and years of dinner table conversations, it always felt like this was the path I was meant to take.

I work with young professionals because my philosophy has always been that the early stages of your career are the most important when it comes to building long-term financial success. It doesn’t take much digging to see how many Canadians struggle financially, regardless of income. But with the right strategy, habits, and guidance early on, you can create a different path.

Two stats I have learned since becoming a Financial Advisor were very telling to me, and my guess is they’ll be very telling to you too:

  • First, the average age for financial advisors in Ontario is between 53-59 years old.
  • Second (and even more shocking), is that most people would rather go to the dentist than see their financial advisor!

Now, to be clear, experience matters, and there’s a reason many advisors have been successful for decades. But I think that second stat exists for a reason. I’ve seen too many people choose an advisor based on experience alone, only to realize they don’t really connect with them. From there, one of two things usually happen:

They leave to find someone else, or;

They stick it out because they assume that’s just how it’s supposed to be.

Seeing your advisor shouldn’t feel like pulling teeth (pun intended). Money is personal. It’s something you should be able to talk about openly with someone you relate to and feel comfortable with. Because beyond returns and investments, financial planning is really about building a plan around your life - your goals, your priorities, and your concerns.

That’s why I love working with the people I do. I don’t need to manufacture relationships because many of my clients are going through the same stages of life I am. Our conversations are real and the advice I give is grounded in the same strategies I’m using myself.

As much as I’ve always had a passion for finance, it’s those relationships that I enjoy most about what I do.

If you’re in school, early in your career, or starting a family, the only thing I ask is an open mind and a willingness to get started. If that sounds like you, I’d love to get to know you.
